Straightening with FastBraces

Oct 30 • 2 minute read

When it comes to straightening the teeth, patience is a necessary virtue. With traditional braces, treatment can typically take up to 3 years. But for patients who qualify, there could be a faster option. FastBraces guarantees a significant improvement in the alignment of teeth in as little as 120 days. It’s an alternative option to conventional orthodontics, allowing patients to receive comprehensive treatment plans that address spacing and gaps, crooked or crowding of the teeth, and issues with the bite (e.g., overbites and underbites).

So how does it all work? Indeed, it’s quite simple. If the teeth have grown in crooked, it’s typically a clear indication that the root isn’t in the proper positioning. To adjust the alignment, FastBracesⓇ uses a triangle-shaped bracket and a square wire to realign the root of the tooth at the onset of treatment.

Typically, with traditional braces, the first year of wearing braces is spent adjusting the crowns of the teeth, and the second year is designated for repositioning the roots of the teeth. But with FastBracesⓇ, the technology has one key premise–to realign the root and the crown simultaneously. The goal is to adjust the roots to an upright position from the very beginning of the process using a method that restores the alveolar bone. The alveolar is the ridge of the bone that contains the tooth sockets on the jaw bones holding the teeth in position. FastBracesⓇ works to grow the alveolar bone so that the straightening timeline is trimmed significantly.

Comfort and Convenience

Most patients want to know if FastBracesⓇ is less painful than other teeth straightening methods. The answer? It’s possible. The technology is a low friction method with a shorter treatment timeframe. For some people, less time and friction means minimal discomfort, especially compared to other options. Convenience is also a perk, as minimal retainer wear is required after the wire comes off. While some systems require daily wear for multiple hours at a time, FastBraces may require only 15-20 minutes each day instead of a full nighttime routine.

So how fast are FastBraces?

As the technology starts to align the root in the first stages of the process, patients can expect to finish treatment between three months to one year. Some people even begin seeing subtle results in just a few weeks. Overall, FastBraces can be an attractive option if time is of the essence.
